MOTORCYCLES
I have two primary current rides.
A 2015 Piaggio MP3 500 ABS/ASR scooter gets me around the city and out to my long distance ride. It is terrific and I am outfitting it with new devices.
A 2014 Can-Am Spyder RT SE-6 is a three wheeled Sportster that is classified as a motorcycle (named Josephine) and is a terrific long distance ride. I have taken it on a 2 week 4,500 mile ride to see two of my plays performed and through the midwest.
I still have a 2006 Suzuki Burgman 400 (named Sylvia) that was a terrific first ride and is currently in storage for later use.
I won a 2009 Victory Vision Arlen Ness Special Edition in a raffle with a $100 ticket. Her name was Vicki and I took her on several epic rides, including a Saddlesore 1000 trip recognized by the Iron Butt Association, riding from Daytona Beach, FL to New York City (more than 1000 miles) in less than 24 hours. It was fantastic.
I would love to set up a Playwrights Motorcycle Gang (though it wouldn't scare anyone, not even producers). Any other writer/riders out there? Let's Ride & Write!
Like playwriting, I took to motorcycle riding later in my life. I could have never imagined that I would be so prolific and enjoy each so much! And I certainly never imagined having two vehicles (though both with just three wheels) while living in Manhattan! I'll dig up some more photos soon and post them here.
